1. Who We Are

You acknowledge that shwt.in is operated by an individual developer (referred to as "I", "me," or "the Operator").

shwt.in provides a URL-shortening and redirection service, allowing users to create shortened links for convenience and sharing. Optional accounts offer dashboards, link management tools, and analytics.

3. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Content

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You must not use the Service to create or distribute links that:

• Redirect to illegal content (including child sexual abuse material, terrorism, hate content, fraud, or scams)
• Violate the rights of others, including privacy or intellectual property rights
• Contain viruses, malware, spyware, or attempt to exploit users
• Are abusive, harassing, defamatory, or intended to cause harm
• Enable or promote illegal activity

Enforcement: I reserve the right to refuse or remove any link at my discretion and to suspend accounts without notice if misuse is suspected.

4. Your Content & Responsibility

You are solely responsible for any content associated with URLs that you shorten using the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have the right to share and distribute any content behind your shortened URLs.

You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from claims, damages, or legal actions arising from your use of the Service or any links you generate.

5. License to Use the Service

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, and non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. This license may be terminated at any time.

6. Account & Registration

• You must provide accurate information during account creation
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You must notify me immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

7. Analytics & Data Use

You acknowledge that when a short link is clicked, anonymized and aggregated analytics may be collected (such as click counts, geographic approximations, browser/device type, and referrer).

This data is used solely for link performance reporting and protecting the Service from abuse.

8. Termination & Removal of Links

• You may request deletion of your account or individual links at any time
• I may remove any link or suspend your access if Terms are violated or for security reasons

9. Disclaimers & "As-Is" Service

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. I make no guarantees regarding uptime, reliability, or suitability for any purpose.

I am not responsible for changes in destination content, broken links, or issues resulting from third-party content.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits.

Your exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.

11. Changes to These Terms

I may modify or update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the website and become effective immediately. Your continued use of the Service indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction specified in the Service agreement. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in that jurisdiction's courts.
